Writer's Block: Cover me

Nov. 11th, 2010 | 06:33 am

Pillar's cover of U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is better than the original. Of course, I am biased because I like rocked-up songs and that is what they do with it.

Okay...I suppose it is about time I posted this.

For those of you who don't read babytoaster's journal: Yes, she is pregnant.

What does this mean: Jason-spawn is coming...and I am going to be a dad?!?!

And, yes, until it is born...it shall be referred to as "baby what-his-face."

Top 5 of 2007

Jan. 7th, 2008 | 05:48 pm
location: The Cove
mood: boredbored
music: Alexisonfire - This Could Be Anywhere in the World

Hmmm...a bunch of random top 5s with no apparent rhyme or reason. Based on my mind and nothing else.

Top 5 CDs of 2007:

1. Project 86 - Rival Factions
2. The Panic Division - Songs from the Glasshouse
3. Paramore - Riot!
4. Flight of the Conchords - The Distant Future
5. Red - The End of Silence

Worst CDs of 2007:

1. Thousand Foot Krutch - The Flame in All of Us
2. Okay....I just meant CD, becuase the one listed above sucked so bad it needed its own list.

Top 5 Movies (that I saw) of 2007:

1. Transformers
2. The Simpsons Movie
3. Harry Potter 5 and whatever the subtitle is.
4. Nothing else matters...and I mean that.

Those are the only top 5 lists I will post unless people comment and request my top 5 of 2007 for any particular list.

Right Wing Freedom?

Oct. 24th, 2007 | 09:39 pm
location: The Cove
mood: tiredtired
music: Kings & Queens - Luna Halo

Okay. To all my friends in the Twin Cities area who are right-wing, free speech, free thought, capitalistic people. PLEASE PLEASE go see this movie.

Indoctrinate U

It is showing on the U of M campus starting Friday and showing through next Thursday. That is, of course, if Goldy Gopher does not censor it.

If you'd like a great interview with the producer, see Jason Lewis' interview from October 24 on FM News Talk 100.3 KTLK.

This post was not sponsored, completely opinionated and may offend liberals in the viewing audience.

I've already made a few moves. Huston Street is starting our season on the DL, so I have moved him there and picked up Oliver Perez temporarily to take his roster spot.

I am pretty solid in the speed department, so I have trade options open on any of the speedsters. I'd prefer to dump Figgins, but we'll see what offers I get to pull some home run hitters onto the team. The pitching will be steady and provide some good numbers, so no help currently needed there. I have a lot of positional flexibilty, which is always helpful in fantasy.

By the way, some of you on my friends will get a double-dose of this league since tbone is in my league, too. Have a good day, everyone.

3. Go from "New York" to "Paris, France"

4. Look at number 23...

That is all....
